AA Launches new reward credit card

UK motoring organisation the AA has launched its new Reward Plus credit card, open to anyone and offering three per cent cashback on fuel purchases.

Mark Huggins, director of AA Financial Services, said sales of petrol have slumped in recent months and Brits are struggling with near-record petrol costs at the pumps, but this latest offering from the AA could help.

He commented: "The AA card isn't complicated by confusing spending rules or limited periods. It delivers three per cent back on fuel up to £2,000 spend per year - that's the equivalent of an average £60 fill-up."

It offers 19.9 per cent (variable) representative APR on all card purchases.

Meanwhile, David Fox of The Word Centre recently argued that UK consumers should be calling for clearer information when it comes to the credit agreements they are signing.

He noted it is imperative that people enter into any credit agreement with their eyes firmly open.
