Bank of Scotland A-Day website launched

A new website has been launched by the Bank of Scotland which aims to provide detailed but easy to navigate information on the new pensions simplification legislation.

The Bank of Scotland A-Day website will provide a comprehensive online resource for people wanting to find out more about A-Day, on April 6th 2006.

It will also detail the effect of the changes to pensions in order to help people understand their pension situation and take any necessary action regarding them.

Alan Jones, head of the Bank of Scotland's investment service, explained: "With less than a year to go until the A-Day pensions revolution, there are still people who are unaware of the impact the new legislation could have on their pensions and retirement plans.

"This website will prove to be a useful resource for such people - presenting the key facts around A-Day in a clear and concise way."

He added that it was "essential" that anyone putting aside money for their pension was up to date on the legislation changes next year and how they might be personally affected.

The Bank of Scotland Investment Service (BOSIS) is part of the HBOS Group and specialises in providing strategic financial planning services to both individuals and business.
