Post Office travel insurance for modern families

New research from Post Office travel services has shown that most families in the UK do not organise travel insurance before embarking on holiday.

Post Office travel services has shown that nearly three-quarters of UK parents worry about their children having an accident while on holiday, only 13 per cent organise travel insurance.

This lack of preparation comes despite a third of those surveyed saying they had experienced an accident while on holiday, and almost a quarter saying they'd been the victims of theft.

To help parents preparing for the family holiday, the Post Office has special Kids Go Free and Single Parent policies. Both of these are tailored for families travelling with children.

Hugh Stacey, head of travel services at the Post Office, said: "Taking a small amount of time to prioritise travel essentials such as insurance, passports and E111s can reduce the worry associated with a family holiday."
