Customers can expect to be offered best-buy premiums, and there are both joint and single life policies available.
Kevin Sinclair, managing director of AA Insurance, said: "While most people are happy to insure their home and their car, they could do more to protect the people closest to them, should the worst happen."
He went on to say that there is a deficit across the UK in the number of people protected by life cover, something which needs to be addressed, as figures show that 75 per cent of property owners surveyed said "they would lose their home if the family breadwinner died".
