New and existing customer of Alliance & Leicester's online saver account will benefit from a new offer available to them.

Customers opening an Alliance & Leicester online saver account will benefit from a 0.9 per cent bonus if the account is opened before the end of 2005.

The bonus, which brings the rate to 5.15 per cent, is also available to all those with an Alliance & Leicester online saver issue 2 account.

Mike Woodward, manager for savings at Alliance & Leicester, described the account as "very competitive" with a "market-leading rate".

He went on to say that "customers like the convenience of managing their savings online".

The minimum balance customers can have in the account is £1, while the maximum stands at £25,000.
