More Than Insurance covers for Christmas

With Brits descending on the high street and presents piling up in their homes, More Than Insurance is tempting customers with extra cover during the festivities.

The insurance company is offering ten per cent (£6,000) extra cover during December to make sure that expensive Christmas gifts are not left uninsured.

Buying this year's top ten dream toys would set parents back by about £320, another reason to get additional cover, according to the company.

David Pitt, head of More Than Insurance, said: "We tend to splash out on presents and food at this time of the year and therefore have more valuable items than normal in our homes.

"This should be a happy time but sadly accidents and thefts do occur, so it is important people make sure they are not underinsured."

More Than suggested that people take extra care over Christmas and check that their insurance covers all possible accidents and thefts over the holidays.
