Barclays Regular Saver account announced

The Barclays Regular Saver account will be launched tomorrow as Barclays revamps its savings range.

An interest rate of ten per cent gross per year on savings from £25 to £250 per month will be set on the account and will run for 12 months from the beginning of the deal.

The arrival of this account coincides with simplifications being applied to the bank's current savings range and the launch of two other accounts.

Interest rates are being increased for younger savers and Easy Saver and Bonus Saver packages are also being offered.

Commercial director of retail banking at Barclays Bruce Kelsall said that the changes and introductions "demonstrate Barclays' determination to give its existing customers value for money products and attract new customers".

The Barclays Regular Saver account is available to new and existing customers and will be marketed between February 16th and April 26th 2006.
