Nationwide Guaranteed Equity Bond launched

A Nationwide Guaranteed Equity Bond has been launched and offers a minimum return of all invested capital plus growth of at least ten per cent.

The new tranche will have its growth linked to the FTSE 100, DJ EuroSTOXX 50 and Nikkei 225 indices.

Any interested investors who put their money into the bond before the bond's start date will also be offered a bonus.

Customers investing before March 11th will be given a bonus of 0.4 per cent of their input, 0.3 per cent will be offered between March 13th and March 25th and between March 27th and April 8th the additional benefit will be at a level of 0.2 per cent.

"A Guaranteed Equity Bond is ideal for those people who wish to invest in the stock market but have concerns about the risks involved," explained Clive Parkinson, managing director of Nationwide Investments.

The Nationwide Guaranteed Equity Bond will be made fully available on February 27th.
