Standard Life Group Pensions scheme assessed

The Financial Technology Research Centre (FTRC) has awarded the Standard Life Group Pensions scheme a Triple-e rating for its e-commerce services – the highest rating that can be awarded for e-commerce performance.

Standard Life offers three separate online products that support its Group Pensions scheme.

Adviserzone offers financial advisers access to valuations for a range of group pensions, life products and individual pensions for their client base and the ability to download information on customers.

GroupPensionzone includes a payment system for advisers and employers, an area which allows new members to join and a facility allowing information from advisers or employers to be uploaded.

Employeezone is an information source for workers, giving them various pieces of information about their pension scheme and can be accessed from the workplace or from home.

Manila McLean, head of Group Pensions e-commerce, said: "Our aim is to match the best online services in the world. We benchmark our services with the best in Canada and the US and with the top non-financial online service providers."

The Standard Life Group Pensions scheme has 38,000 different pension plans and assets amounting to almost £12 billion.
