Standard Life Self-Invested Personal Pensions service extended

It has been announced today that savings quotes for Standard Life Self-Invested Personal Pensions (Sipps) will now be available to advisers online.

The Standard Life Sipp allows customers to save for their retirement in a tax-efficient fashion by making either regular payments or single lump sum investments.

It also offers access to a range of funds which customers can invest in, including open-ended investment companies, stocks and shares and commercial properties.

This new service is intended to strengthen Standard Life's existing range of online facilities, which includes new business tracking and valuations and a Client View facility.

According to Billy Burnside, sales e-commerce manager at Standard Life, the adviserzone area is already very popular, being used by 9,000 people every month.

"With the addition of Sipp online quotations to the adviserzone, we further strengthen the services available, making it easier for advisers to place their Sipp business with Standard Life," Mr Burnside claimed.

Full details about Standard Life Self-Invested Personal Pensions, as well as the new facilities, can be found on the company's website.
