Co-operative Legal Services venture launched

These will include conveyancing, will-writing, probate and accident management services.
The new venture will also provide claims management support, which will be incorporated into the legal expense cover belonging to the Co-op's two million motor, home, travel and commercial insurance customers.
According to the company, the new project will feature its brand values of "openness, honesty and trust", which it expects will appeal to its existing customers.
Martin Beaumont, chief executive of the Co-op, said: "The combination of a proven management team, first class products and services backed by the Co-operative brand will provide a compelling proposition in a market that hasn't always enjoyed the total confidence of consumers."
The Co-operative Legal Services venture will be based in Bristol and is expected to create around 150 jobs over five years.
