Abbey Guaranteed Income Bond offers high rate from launch

Abbey Guaranteed Income Bond has been launched offering protection of capital at maturity and income over the next four years.

The launch is the 12th Abbey Guaranteed Income Bond investment offered to customers guarantying a fixed income of 3.96 per cent per annum net (4.95 per cent per annum gross equivalent) if income is taken annually.

Capital return is guaranteed after four years and the bond is the only life insurance plan available on the high street that guarantees a fixed income.

Minimum investment is £5,000 and the most that can be invested is £250,000.

Pak Chan, Abbey’s head of investments marketing, said: "The Guaranteed Income Bond has been highly popular over its first year so we are particularly delighted to be offering the highest rate since its launch last May."

Abbey Guaranteed Income Bond offers protection on an investment and customers can chose whether to take the income on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
