Brits are daring but not with their finances: Alliance and Leicester Mortgages

According to Alliance and Leicester, when it comes to their day-to-day lives Brits are becoming more adventurous but are taking a less daring approach with their finances.
The findings show 85 per cent like to vary where they go out eating or drinking but only 15 per cent actively search out the best deal for themselves financially.
Alliance and Leicester Mortgages says 46 per cent of those surveyed prefer to be flexible in order to try new experiences and people are shunning a fixed routine in order to fit everything into their busy lifestyles.
Stephen Leonard, director of mortgages at Alliance and Leicester, said: "It is important that consumers consider the advantages of flexible financial products, as they could also be missing out on additional benefits such as payment holidays and overpayments on their mortgage which can greatly aid and enhance their financial planning."
Alliance and Leicester Mortgages is one of the UK's biggest lenders offering a range of mortgages and remortgages at fixed rates.
