New HSBC Personal Loan Repayment Reward scheme set up reward customers

Any loan taken out in the next three months with HSBC bank and paid back in time could now mean a payback for customers under a new repayment reward scheme.

HSBC's Personal Loan Repayment Reward scheme is open to new and existing customers and the bank says it will refund 25 per cent of the total interest paid during the term of the loan.

The new scheme is part of a "pioneering" incentive scheme which aims to encourage people taking out loans of any amount to meet agreed repayment schedules.

Joe Garner, head of UK personal financial services at HSBC, said: "We recognise that customers should be rewarded for choosing HSBC, staying with us and honouring the terms of their loan agreement."

"With repayment reward, HSBC's personal loan rates will be better than most of the rates charged by our competitors," he added.

The HSBC Group has over 9,500 offices in 76 countries and territories in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa and markets itself as "the world's local bank".
