Leeds Building Society Three-year Fixed Rate Mortgage launched.

Today's interest rate adjustment by the Bank of England has prompted Leeds Building Society to launch a new mortgage product, the company has announced.

Interest rates now stand at 4.75 per cent - a 0.25 per cent increase - and this may lead mortgage holders to reconsider their current deal and could benefit from the new Leeds Building Society Three-year Fixed Rate Mortgage offering.

Available at up to 80 per cent loan to value, the latest fixed rate product offers a rate of 4.49 per cent for a three year period.

Stuart Fearn, Leeds' product development manager, said: "This product allows customers to fix their payments at a rate which is significantly lower than any other three-year fixed rate in the market and 0.26 per cent below base rate.

"It is available up to 80 per cent loan to value, provides flexibility by allowing ten per cent capital repayments each year without penalty and there is no higher lending charge."

Leeds Building Society also offers two and ten year fixed rate mortgage products.
