Prudential launches new deferred Sipp

Prudential has announced its entry into the Self-Invested Personal Pension (Sipp) market with the introduction of a new deferred Sipp which offers investment diversity to investors.

The launch will also see Prudential joining forces with Suffolk Line to provide customers with a comprehensive range of investment options.

The Prudential deferred Sipp will be available through the Flexible Retirement Self-Invested Fund and provides clients with access to stocks, shares, collectives and commercial property.

It is anticipated that Suffolk Line will manage the investment of each separate case and will be responsible for the purchase and management of commercial property within the Sipp.

"With the introduction of both our Flexible Retirement Plan and our deferred SIPP as well as launching a new drawdown plan in 2007, illustrates clearly our commitment and desire to take an active role in the UK individual Pensions market," Prudential UK intermediaries director Tudor Taylor said.

A flexible adviser remuneration plan will also be available, which will allow customers to choose from options such as expressing commission as a monetary amount.

Advisers are also able to vary the levels of commission payable over the term of the contract in order to suit individual needs.
