Lloyds TSB internet banking Access Code Device wins award

One of the UK's leading high street banks is set to receive two awards at the National Customer Service Awards, due to be held in London next week.

The Lloyds TSB internet banking Access Code Device has received two nominations for its innovative and groundbreaking trial.

It has been nominated for the Socap award for innovation in customer service, as well as for the e-commerce customer service award.

Based on two-factor technology, the Lloyds TSB internet banking Access Code Device offers users an extra level of security when they use their online banking.

The keyring device generates a unique six-digit number when a customer wants to log onto their internet banking and it has been found to be 100 per cent successful in the fight against fraud.

The Lloyds TSB internet banking Access Code Device is the first of its kind and "at the forefront of the fight against online fraud", according to the head of Lloyds TSB online banking, Anita Hockin.

"The success of this trial, both in terms of the impact it has had on fraud and the way customers have taken to the technology, is testament to the incredibly hard work that's been done by everyone involved and I know that their commitment will only increase as a result of our nomination," she added.
