Lloyds TSB Insurance warns of flood of insurance claims

The rising level of spring tides this October is threatening to create a raft of insurance claims says Lloyds TSB Insurance.

The above average spring tides are expected between October 7th to 10th inclusive and the UK's largest home insurance provider has stressed that customers most at risk should make preparations for possible flooding.

Lloyds TSB is currently working alongside Rainbow International, a disaster restoration specialist, to limit the possible impact of the spring tides on home owners.

A Calm Before The Storm guide is available from Lloyds TSB, which provides information and support for those affected by adverse weather conditions.

Gary Hurry, spokesperson for Lloyds TSB Insurance, declared: "Burying your head in the sand is no defence against the very real threat of serious flooding."

"Thinking ahead and devising a plan to help reduce the risks can help homeowners minimise any potential disruption. Our new guide is essential reading for anyone who wants to prepare for the worst case scenario," he continued.

Lloyds TSB Home Insurance cover offers customers a complete new-for-old policy and a no claims bonus of up to 30 per cent.
