Saga MultiScan offers 'health MOT'

Saga has launched the service in a bid to address a series of medical conditions that commonly affect those aged 50 and over to highlight health problems immediately.
Screening will take an hour and involves a mixture of blood tests and CT scans that include a heart scan, virtual colonoscopy, bone density scan, diabetes type 2 test and a cholesterol test, the company says.
The chief executive of Saga, Andrew Goodsell, declared: "It is well documented that as a nation we are living longer, but unfortunately as we get older our risk of developing certain conditions does increase."
"CT scanning can give us peace of mind and enable us to take actions to improve our life chances," Mr Goodsell continued.
The Saga MultiScan is available at a price of £530 which according to the company is "substantially" less than the cost of the scans and tests if they were taken individually.
