Starting from £4.99 a month, the pet insurance covers vet bill claims of up to £2,000, which is likely to come in handy to customers as the average pet insurance claim payment is £2,001, according to More Than.
There is no maximum age for insuring cats or dogs and perks of the policy include a contribution on behalf of More Than towards advertising and reward should a pet go missing, as well as cattery or kennel fees if the policyholder becomes hospitalised.
Pet product manager for More Than Melvin Everest stated: "As 82 per cent of pets in the UK are not insured, we've launched our new Pet Saver product to help even the most budget conscious pet owners ensure their pets can be protected."
A year's free membership to the Missing Pets Bureau is included in the More Than Pet Saver insurance cover and More Than also operates a website that provides advice for pet owners.
Alternatively, More Than Pet Insurance offers a 15 per cent discount when ordered online, a 15 per cent discount for insuring more than one pet and up to £7,000 worth of vet fees are covered.
