Legal & General launches mortgage with Platform

Legal & General Mortgage Club has teamed up with Platform, intermediary lender of Britannia Building Society, to offer customers an exclusive product aimed at the non-conforming borrower market.

The Legal & General Exclusive via Platform mortgage is a two-year fixed-rate product and is designed specifically for the almost prime, minor and light adverse sectors.

It is available on both a self-certification and full status basis and interest rates begin at 5.85 per cent on the product.

Product marketing manager for Legal & General Mortgage Club Martyn Smith stated: "The almost prime, minor, and light adverse sectors are hugely competitive areas within the non-conforming market at the moment and the launch of this new range of products will maintain Legal & General Mortgage Club's position at the forefront of this market."

The Legal & General Exclusive via Platform product requires an arrangement fee of £695 and a free valuation is provided.

Legal & General is a FTSE100 Index company and is involved in investments worldwide, on behalf of its customers, worth £180 billion.
