American Express First Collection launched

American Express has introduced First Collection, a reward scheme that provides card-holders with the opportunity to accrue points in order to trade them for extravagant gifts.

First Collection enables American Express Platinum and Centurion Card members to begin claiming gifts once they reach a total of 20,500 points - a Davidoff black leather cigar case - to 93.2 million points which will entitle customers to an 18-carat Chopard Ice Cube Collection white gold and diamond watch.

There are over 50 items available under the reward scheme due to a collaboration between American Express and 11 partners ranging from Lamborghini to Baccarat.

Ralph Andretta, senior vice president and general manager of membership rewards at American Express, remarked: "First Collection pairs premium customers with premium brands and a specially-tailored collection of highly desirable rewards."

He continued: "The launch of First Collection marks the first time that we have offered rewards and partners that cater to the premium lifestyles of our Platinum and Centurion Card members."

American Express is a leading global payments, network and travel company which was established in 1850.
