Tesco Health Insurance launched

Tesco Health Insurance is to launch in a move that is set to shake-up drop the hyphen the entire private medical insurance market because the prices it will offer are undercutting most providers.

For anyone under the age of 76, Tesco Health Insurance products will be available with no medical questions asked and for customers purchasing cover before March 27th, the first month will be provided for free.

There are two levels of cover on offer - Premium and Core - and both of these policies provide in-patient and day-patient coverage, radiotherapy and chemotherapy protection and £1,000 worth of out-patient perks.

Jeremy Sutton, head of savings and investments at Tesco Personal Finance, said: "Our customer research suggests that perceived high prices, complicated products and complex medical questions have been major stumbling blocks to buying health insurance. Close "

"We aim to change that by offering products that are simple, good value and easy to buy," Mr Sutton added.

Tesco Health Insurance affords customers the opportunity to choose from more than 250 private hospitals so that lengthy NHS queues are avoided.
