Through the new service Britannia Building Society customers can obtain a Britannia mortgage quote, get a quick online decision and complete their mortgage application in just a few clicks.
A recent survey from Lloyds TSB shows that one in five Brits do most of their banking online, with young males being the group most likely to make use of it.
The new online Britannia mortgage application could therefore prove to be a valuable tool for many of the building society's customers
Tim Franklin, managing director of member business at Britannia Building Society, said: "While many people still prefer to receive face to face service in their branch, there are an increasing number of borrowers who manage their finances online."
He added that through the website, borrowers have access to a 24-hour service "so they can start to sort out their finances at any time".
