Alliance & Leicester loans 'aid car purchase'

Prospective motorists looking for a suitable package to finance a new car should steer well clear of car finance deals, according to Alliance & Leicester.

Richard Al-Dabbagh, senior loans manager at Alliance & Leicester, said that just as many people were not choosing their car with the environment in mind, so they were also being profligate in the financing of their car.

Interest on some car finance deals went "well into double figures", Mr Al-Dabbagh said.

Alliance & Leicester personal loans may be an ideal way for a driver to finance a car purchase.

With a typical interest rate of 6.3 per cent for a loan between £7,500 and £20,000, customers have the luxury of being able to pay the amount back over five years.

There are also no arrangement fees on an Alliance & Leicester loan, making it an ideal method of financing a car.
