M&S Money Isa application period 'extended'

Marks & Spencer (M&S) Money has announced that it will be extending this year's deadline for those people wanting to invest in one of the group's competitive Isas.

The M&S Isa will be available until the new tax year deadline of midnight on April 5th.

A selection of funds are available at the group, including an M&S ethical fund, a high income package and a worldwide managed fund, among others.

In order to apply for an M&S Isa online, customers need to produce identification, including bank details, national insurance numbers and debit cards among others.

Similar identification will also be required for those people who wish to apply over the telephone.

Paul Shingler, head of savings and investments at M&S Money, said: "Investors still have over a week to apply for an Isa so they have time to do their homework on which fund suits them.

"However, if they leave their application to the very last minute, M&S Money can still help, our call centre will be open until 20:00BST and the online service will be accepting savings and investments up to midnight on April 5th," he added.
