Halifax credit card 'rewards customer loyalty'

Halifax has launched a new credit card featuring a generous zero per cent anniversary offer.

The group's One Card will enjoy a zero per cent rate on both balance transfers and purchases for the first nine months of the deal.

Following the first anniversary on the Halifax credit card, cardholders will enjoy a further six months at a zero per cent rate on balance transfers made from the start of the calendar month.

The Halifax card also benefits from the a typical APR of 13.9 per cent, allied to the security of mind provided when customers arrange the credit card over the internet.

Halifax estimates that an average customer could save up to £58 by utilising the Halifax One Card.

Ken Stannard, head of Halifax credit cards, said that the group had "responded" to customer demands to be rewarded for their loyalty.

He said the Halifax credit card was a "great up-front deal" which also "rewarded [customers] a year on".
