Alliance & Leicester account 'perfect' for young Britons

Alliance & Leicester's premier 21 account may prove to be the perfect savings vehicle for financially ambitious young Britons.

Specifically created with young people in mind, the Alliance & Leicester account offers a best-buy credit interest rate of ten per cent fixed for at least one year from account opening on balances of up to £1,000.

The account also provides an extra 0.10 per cent extra interest on balances over £1,000.

Alliance & Leicester premier 21 accounts also offer a variety of related benefits, including an easy switching service, Visa Debit card, while cheque books are available on request.

Helen Palmer, current accounts manager at Alliance & Leicester, said that the recent launch of the account "offers young people in employment the highest credit interest rate on the high street to help make their pay packets stretch further".

"And with such high hopes for their earning potential it is important that young people also learn the benefits of putting money aside for a rainy day and our linked PlusSaver account allows them to do just that," she added.
