Savvy motorists find 'best insurance deals'

Motorists who display a savvy approach in searching the market for the best deals should be able to find themselves a competitive car insurance deal.

A spokesperson for AA comments follow a survey carried out by the group which shows that car insurance premiums rose on average by six per cent in 2006.

Despite the AA quarterly survey also showing that car insurance premiums fell marginally in 2007, it indicated that they would rise overall.

AA spokesperson Ian Crowder said: "For all the upward pressure on insurance premiums, there's always going to be a new provider coming in, trying to get a market share and offering big discounts."

He added: "For the savvy insurance buyer, there is always a provider willing to offer low premiums to get your business."

The AA provides motoring breakdown cover, insurance, loans and other financial aid.
