Bradford & Bingley account 'deal' for "cash-rich, time-poor"

Bradford & Bingley has launched a new online savings account which is believed to be ideal for "cash-rich, time-poor" consumers.

Designed for customers looking to enjoy easy access to their money, the eSavings4 account will pay out at a rate of 6.01 per cent for the first year of the term.

Customers who want to receive interest on a monthly basis will receive a rate of 5.85 per cent for the first 12 months, after which it will revert to 5.37 per cent.

The account requires no notice for withdrawals, which can also be made on a penalty-free basis.

Ian Cornelius, director of savings at Bradford & Bingley, said: "Our new eSavings account offers customers looking for no-notice easy access to their savings a highly competitive interest rate."

The Bradford & Bingley account can also be commenced and operated by logging on to the group website.
