Halifax identifies best value property locations

New research carried out by Halifax claims that the three areas in the UK are the best to purchase flats, semi-detached properties and terraced houses.
Ranked sixth in terms of the best place to purchase a property, Chesham is ranked the best value area to buy a flat under £150,000.
Buyers looking to pick up the best value semi-detached property might consider investing in Sleaford, with the average property there costing £139,791.
Martin Ellis, chief economist at Halifax, said: "There are still some bargains to be had for first-time buyers and home-movers. Chesham is the best value for money location in the country for flats, followed by Stowmarket for terraced properties."
Ranked the 17th best place to live in the UK, Stowmarket in Suffolk has an average terraced property price of £133,331.
