Direct Line pet insurance: Kennel and cattery costs covered

Direct Line has confirmed that its pet insurance offering will cover the relocation and accommodation of pets in the event of flood risks.

With many areas of the UK at risk from flooding due to the heavy rains this summer, many people could find themselves and their furry friends in danger of injury.

However, pet owners who are concerned about the safety of their cat or dog have been offered good news by Direct Line, which claims its pet insurance product will cover the cost of moving the animal somewhere safe.

"I think people that are savvy and into pet insurance will already have their pets insured, so that will cover them if they go into kennels and catteries," said Carmel McCarthy, PR manager at Direct Line.

"They're very important, pets!"

As well as pet insurance, Direct Line offers car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, travel insurance, mortgages, personal loans, breakdown cover and more.
