Bradford & Bingley asks: What If?

More than half (53 per cent) of people aged over 35 would like to travel more, according to Bradford & Bingley.

The bank revealed the results of its survey as it launched its new What If? savings account, which is aimed at the over-35s market and offers instant access.

Almost a third (30 per cent) of respondents claimed that they would like to embark on a different career, while a quarter went further to suggest they would like to start their own business.

"Over-35s need not despair as there is plenty of time for them to change their lives for the better," said Paul Whitlock, head of savings at Bradford & Bingley.

"Putting money aside and making it work for them means it will be easier for them to realise their dreams."

Earlier this month, Abbey Savings recommended its Abbey 50+ Saver account to those who may be approaching retirement and wish to save more.
