Sainsbury's home insurance discount

Sainsbury's Home Insurance has announced an offer which could benefit new customers.

The insurer has said that those who purchase both buildings and contents cover together between October 2nd and November 27th will receive 12 months' worth of cover for the price of nine.

In addition, people who make their purchase online will receive a further discount of ten per cent.

Benefits of Sainsbury's home insurance products include unlimited buildings cover, no charge for paying by direct debit and cover for accidental damage.

Steve Johnson, head of home insurance at Sainsbury's, commented: "Home insurance policies vary dramatically, so it's essential [that] people compare policies not only on price but also on the level of cover they provide.

"Quality cover such as unlimited buildings insurance doesn't have to be expensive and although premiums have been rising, by shopping around and taking advantage of discounts such as ours, there are significant savings to be made."

Sainsbury's is also offering customers who buy or renew an insurance product between October 2nd and November 30th the chance to win one million Nectar points.
