AXA introduces budgeting tool

AXA has launched a new budgeting tool which it claims will make it easier for employees to manage their finances.

Rachel West, a spokesperson for AXA, said that the insurance firm had created the tool as something which is available "internally and externally" and would be "very different to what is already out there".

"Money worries are the biggest cause of stress and stress is a huge contributor in terms of absence at work, so we're arguing for employers to support their employees," she remarked.

She added that the insurance company is giving all of its 12,000 employees an hour to plan their finances, which is supported by a new website containing the budgeting tool.

The website contains around 20 profiles of people of various ages and in different lifestyle situations, to help tailor the tool to the individual's needs.

Meanwhile, the BBC recently reported that the Consumer Credit Counselling Service has been observing "signs of growing financial stress" in the UK.
