LV= says financial advice is sinking in

Financial advice which has been given to people about saving for the future is finally sinking in, Liverpool Victoria (LV=) has claimed.

LV= spokesperson Lucy Pope said that messages about responsible financial behaviour - such as those encouraging savings in a pension - are "everywhere" and difficult to avoid due to heavy media exposure.

"A lot of the messages out there about making sure you save for the future and your retirement and about paying off your expensive debt and that type of thing … are coming through," she remarked.

Responding to a question about how today's generation is planning for the future, Ms Pope said that "a lot of people" are viewing their property as an investment for retirement.

LV= was founded in 1843 and is the biggest friendly society in the UK. Some of the products offered by LV= include insurance, savings and credit cards.
