Bradford & Bingley insurance warning for the holidays

In the run-up to Christmas, Bradford & Bingley has warned consumers to protect their belongings - particularly if they are travelling abroad for shopping.

Some of the Bradford & Bingley insurance tips offered by the firm include keeping credit cards and cash in separate wallets, ensuring that a policy covers theft of these items and obtaining a police report in the event of a robbery.

Travellers who are thinking of taking part in winter sports should also make sure their policies cover all possible activities, the insurer added.

Dave Foyle, head of insurance at Bradford & Bingley, commented: "With expensive Christmas presents in your luggage or the promise of fun on the slopes, travellers should be warned that December can be a costly month for travel claims and so it is essential that they are covered by insurance for all eventualities."

Earlier this year, Bradford & Bingley revamped its travel insurance policy.
