Abbey Banking: Britons need to shape up financially

After analysing the results of the study - which collected data from people about the number of financial products they hold, how competitive these products are and how often they look for better deals - Abbey Banking found that 99 per cent of people could use some help getting their finances into shape.
Just over a third (34 per cent) of respondents said that they have enough savings to last through the next three months, while 21 per cent of people admitted they did not shop around before renewing their home insurance.
Steve Shore, Abbey director of banking, said getting finances into shape "needn't be strenous" because there are a lot of deals available.
He suggested that people begin by reviewing their bank accounts, including Abbey's, which offers eight per cent.
Recently, Abbey Banking revealed that British kids were making a total of £696 million each year from odd jobs.
