Alliance & Leicester mortgage rates reduced

Some new fixed-rate Alliance & Leicester mortgage deals have been made available by the bank.

New and existing customers who are seeking to purchase a home, remortgage or invest in buy-to-let are eligible for the Alliance & Leicester mortgage offers.

A two-year mortgage with a fixed rate of 4.99 per cent until March 31st 2010 carries a two per cent arrangement fee and allows customers to borrow up to 90 per cent of the property's value.

Meanwhile, three and five-year Alliance & Leicester mortgages with rates fixed at 5.79 per cent until March 31st 2011 or March 31st 2013 are available with a product fee of £599.

Richard Taylor, head of mortgages at Alliance & Leicester, commented: "The range of products we have on offer means customers can choose the right package to fit their needs and fix their monthly mortgage payments for two, three or five years."

Recently, Alliance & Leicester announced that its fixed-rate bond at seven per cent interest was a sell-out.
