Abbey mortgage verification service launched

Abbey has announced that it is launching a new mortgage verification service, which will ensure all of the Abbey mortgages on the Trigold system are fully verified.

According to the bank, whether a mortgage is verified is a common concern for brokers, but all of the Abbey flexi mortgages and Abbey buy-to-let mortgages will now be verified through Trigold.

"In 2008, we will continue to work hard on a number of initiatives due to come on stream over the year, to further support mortgage intermediaries and their clients," said Ricky Okey, managing director of Abbey for intermediaries.

He also remarked that 2007 saw the bank make significant investments in developing and "enhanced service to brokers".

The bank has said that in the future, all products added to Trigold will be automatically verified, removing any level of concern for intermediaries.

Abbey for intermediaries offers a number of mortgage products, according to its website, including buy-to-let, new build and large loans.
