Time is running out on Alliance & Leicester's Isa deal

Alliance & Leicester has reminded customers that they have less than a week left to take advantage of its ten per cent individual savings account (Isa) deal.

The bank is offering new customers opening a Premier current account the chance to sign up to its Premier Isa, which pays ten per cent gross AER, but the deal ends on April 20th 2008.

Other features of the Isa include a minimum investment of £1 and maximum investment of £3,000 for the current tax year.

In addition, customers will be able to access their funds via the interest and telephone banking, with no notice needed for withdrawals.

The bank states that the Isa offers customers "a simple and straightforward way to save".

Hetal Parmar, manager for savings at Alliance & Leicester, commented: "What better way to get the new tax year off to a great start, than with an Isa paying a market leading interest rate of ten per cent?"

Alliance & Leicester recently suggested that its Premier 50 current account is perfect for today's active older people.
