Alliance & Leicester International launches new bonds

Alliance & Leicester International has launched two new limited edition fixed-rated bonds.

Both the six-month and one-year fixed rate bonds come with interest rates of 6.5 per cent gross, although that decreases to 6.31 per cent gross for customers on the one-year bond who choose to have their interest paid monthly.

They also both have a minimum balance of £50,00 and a maximum balance of £1,000,000.

In addition, although the bonds are available to both new and existing customers, they cannot be opened with funds already deposited with Alliance & Leicester International.

Simon Hull, managing director of Alliance & Leicester International, said: "Our range of fixed rate bonds continues to meet the needs of our customers. We strive to give our customers the best rate possible in what is a highly competitive market."

Earlier this week, Bradford & Bingley launched a one-year fixed-rate bond, with a competitive rate of 6.40 per cent gross.
