Abbey for Intermediaries offers exclusives to chosen partners

Abbey for Intermediaries has announced plans to bring back exclusives, which will initially be offered to a limited number of commercial partners.

The products range from 5.76 per cent to 5.81 per cent and all have a maximum loan-to-value of 50 per cent.

Adrian Whittikar, key accounts director at Abbey for Intermediaries, said that this would be a "soft launch" as the bank is not currently in a position where it would be able to deal with a large influx of business generated by the release of full exclusives.

He revealed that more exclusive products will be introduced over time, according to market conditions.

"This latest move sends out a clear message to all who work with us that not only are we still in the market to lend, but our dedication to the intermediary market remains a key part of our business goal," he concluded.

Yesterday Abbey launched a new one-year fixed-rate bond, which is available for a limited period only.
