Direct Line insurance launched for hoteliers

Direct Line has launched insurance cover for hoteliers, which is aimed at owners of small single premises with up to 12 rooms to let.

It offers public and products liability cover up to £2 million as standard and up to £500,000 cover for loss of income.

In addition several add-on options are available, including personal accident and loss of licence.

Kate Syred, head of Direct Line for Business, commented: "Whether a boutique hotel in London or a small bed & breakfast at the seaside, owners can now take advantage of the benefits of being a Direct Line customer with a product designed specifically for the smaller proprietor."

Recently the firm suggested that tenants should ensure they have adequate home insurance and that their landlords have good security measures in place.
