Alliance & Leicester International savings accounts launched

Alliance & Leicester International has announced two new additions to its online savings portfolio - eSaver Offshore (issue 2) and eSaver Offshore Notice 50.

The new eSaver Offshore replaces the original product introduced last year and offers a rate of 6.25 per cent gross per annum/AER variable.

Meanwhile, the eSave Offhore Notice 50 is aimed at customers who are able to plan their withdrawals in advance and has an interest rate of 6.35 per cent gross per annum AER/variable on balances over £25,000.

Simon Hull, managing director of Alliance & Leicester International, said: "Demand from customers, combined with internal customer research, has proved that consumers want the benefits that our eSaver Offshore products can offer, including accessing their savings account any time, anywhere."

Earlier this month Alliance & Leicester International launched a new limited-edition one-year fixed-rate bond.
