The offer is open to all families irrespective of their make-up, be it single parents, joint parent or legal guardian.
Based on two non-smoking parents aged 35 with monthly premiums and a £100 excess, the insurer has calculated that a family of four living in Edinburgh would pay £47.04 for a core policy and £79.02 for a premium policy.
The same family living in London could expect to pay £61.40 and £101.50 a month for the same policies.
Jeremy Sutton, head of Tesco Health Insurance, says, "This offer helps our customers through tougher times, giving parents the peace of mind they are getting the best cover for their family at a great price."
Earlier this week Tesco Dental Insurance claimed that customers could save money with its cover, after calculating the cost of various procedures with both NHS and private dentists.
