Tesco Home Insurance launches 3 new policies

Tesco Home Insurance has launched three new policies, with varying levels of cover.

The new Value insurance costs 30 per cent less than the Standard product on average and includes only essential items.

Standard insurance is described an upgraded version of Tesco's exisiting home insurance product. It covers all the basics, while enhancements include no compulsory excess and over £10,000 of additional cover at no extra cost.

Finest insurance is the most comprehensive of the three, with a number of added features. They included unlimited buildings cover, home emergency and ID fraud detection.

Jim Bruce, head of Tesco Home Insurance said: "We've brought this range to the home insurance market to offer even greater choice, clarity and value."

Earlier this week, Tesco released research that showed that by not switching home insurance, Britons lost out on £26 million last year.
