Tesco home insurance now listed on comparison site

Tesco home insurance is among a raft of products which have been added to Gocompare.com this week.

According to the price comparison website, the addition is part of a rapid expansion which has been taking place since it was founded last year.

Since September 2007, the range of home insurance products covered by Gocompare.com has quadrupled.

Other providers of home cover joining the list alongside Tesco include Prudential, Privilege, Churchill and Virgin.

Kwik-Fit, Swinton, Bradford & Bingley and the AA were already on the website.

"We are delighted to add these brands to our home insurance panel," commented chief executive of Gocompare.com Hayley Parsons. "We now have one of the most comprehensive home insurance comparison services in the UK."

Last week, the Telegraph quoted Jim Bruce, Tesco Personal Finance's home insurance chief, as saying that homeowners need to check with their providers to see if they are adequately covered when hiring equipment for parties.ADNFCR-323-ID-18753184-ADNFCR
