Zurich launches Guaranteed Account

A new account allowing access to potential stock market returns is now available from Zurich.

The Zurich Guaranteed Account 20 allows such benefits to intermediaries and their clients while protecting the initial capital investment.

It offers 120 per cent of any growth in the FTSE index, open until 23rd October.

There is also a payable 0.33 per cent bonus for signing up before September 29th.

The account is for investments of a minimum of £2,500 and a maximum of £250,000.

Interest on the ISA element of it is tax-free under the current law.

Paul Wright, investment management director at Zurich, said such products are "an ideal investment choice for more cautious investors" as the credit crunch continues to take hold.

Meanwhile, graduates are being urged by the Fair Investment Company to be prepared to switch current accounts to find the best deal.

Benefits on their student deals might be withdrawn after graduating and they were warned not to stay if they could find a better account with another bank.
