Abbey: Save £169.76 a month to see the World Cup

Abbey has calculated the cost of going to see England play in the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
It says that a budget trip will cost £3,372.76 and that fans will need to save £169.76 a month from now in order to go.
This is if they use Abbey's eSaver Direct account, which pays 6.5 per cent gross AER.
The £3,372.76 figure is for people who fly economy, stay in budget accommodation and buy cheap seats for the games.
Those going a step up with premium economy flights, mid-range accommodation and medium priced tickets will need £5,193.71, or a saving of £261.42 a month.
And those who want to fly business class, stay in a luxury hotel and buy premium stadium tickets will need to save £562.46 a month to total £11,174.79.
Sport will suffer in the credit crunch, according to a report by the Times.
John Taylor, chairman of Sports Impact, told the paper that the question was only "when, where and how hard".
He said that when sports contracts end and are up for renegotiation, there will be "a day of reckoning".
